iCopyRadio is a new premium service for streaming, controlling, and managing radio scanners. iCopyRadio's cutting-edge technology provides the highest quality, lowest latency, most efficent radio scanner streaming and control available to a wide variety of devices.
All new subscribers will receive a free audio streaming starter kit. This kit includes everything needed for most people to start streaming high-quality scanner audio—an audio cable, USB audio adapter, ground loop isolator (noise filter), and getting started guide.
Currently, the Uniden and Whistler radio scanners listed below are supported for most iCopyRadio features (e.g. remote control, live streaming). We are currently expanding compatibility to include additional scanners. Any radio with an audio output should be compatible with the web-based iCopyRadio Personal Radio Stream.
Most modern web browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, even Microsoft Edge) are compatible with all features of iCopyRadio. The notable exception is Windows Internet Explorer, which supports streaming only through the iCopyRadio Player (no remote control). You can access your scanner audio and remote control with most internet connected devices, including modern iPhone models and Android based mobile devices.
Windows 7 or above is required to communicate with scanners via USB using the iCopyRadio Desktop Application (Linux and Mac coming soon). Most iCopyRadio features require use of the iCopyRadio Desktop Application.
Most of the features of iCopyRadio require scanner communication via the included iCopyRadio Desktop Application. In order to stream audio, you will need appropriate audio cables and audio input devices, which are included in the free audio streaming starter kit. In order to achieve data communication with your scanner, you will need the appropriate USB cables and firmware.
For more information about connecting your scanner to iCopyRadio, read the Scanner Audio and Data Connection Guide.
iCopyRadio currently allows unlimited live streaming and remote control; however, a separate browser or iCopyRadio Desktop instance is required for each device that you would like to stream simultaneously.
There is currently a 10 GB (loosely enforced) limit for stored data (e.g. audio recordings, scanner configurations). Extra storage is available for an additional fee. This limit does not apply to streaming bandwidth.
